Dr. Laurie Fowler
Dr. Fowler graduated from Medical School at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After finishing a residency in Pediatrics, she became one of two people in the country selected for an Allergy and Rhinology fellowship, sponsored by the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. After completion of her fellowship, she was asked by the university of Missouri to stay on as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology, as well as the Department of Child Health. Dr. Fowler eventually took over the allergy clinic responsibilities full time and worked there several years before she left the University in December 2002. During her tenure at the University of Missouri, Dr. Fowler shared her expertise with colleagues, giving lectures at national meetings of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, as well as serving on the board of directors for the American In-Vitro Allergy and Immunology Society. In 2003 and 2004 Dr. Fowler honored her non-compete covenant with the University and saw patients in Macon and Marshall. In February 2005, Dr. Fowler opened her Columbia, Missouri practice. Dr. Fowler is highly regarded for her work in both pediatric and adult allergy management, as well as for her understanding of food allergies. Dr. Fowler has a firm belief that "whole body health" is the key to making people feel their best. This includes not only good allergy management, but also healthy nutrition, exercise, and limiting excess chemical exposures.
